Tipsy Llama Wine Brand Design (concept)
The brief for this concept project was to design a wine label for Peruvian based Malbec producer Tipsy Llama. It was asked that some Peruvian style was included in the design as well as including an actual Llama. I expanded upon this brief and rolled out branding and advertisements for the company, whilst also creating mockups of uniforms in a retail setting.
The design process started with defining the brand image and values. I perceived the wine as being ancient and mysterious, giving it a magical and archaic feel, with a major brand concept being the discovery and uncovering of it in the wilds of Peru.
I created the logo to be a ‘stamp’ of sorts that would reflect the brand image as a premium and high quality product whilst also incorporating the values described above and some Peruvian style. From here I created the label and packaging, and explored how the brand would operate when applied to a retail and advertisement setting. I kept to a minimal colour palette and style, choosing red, gold and black as the primary colours for the brand to reflect an air of quality and exclusivity as well as heightening the magical feel.
